This episode is all about digging into the geology of how soils form and how they influence the vineyards we work with. This isn’t some easy task as our world is layering of geologic history that speak volumes of events our short lives aren’t as relative to. Nile Zacherle sits down with Seth Burgess of the USGS (United States Geological Survey) where he is a Volcanologist focusing in on the past events and future possible ones. Our other guest is Paul Anamosa who is a Napa based Soil Scientist who has mapping soils for decades. Both of these guests are pHds in their fields and have a lot of perspective. Lets just say we started chipping away at the iceberg!
